Exactly what is going on?  We are not getting any information regarding the proceedings other than what is sent out by the S.O. email, things read in the Tribune or the post on LEO Affairs.  Keeping us informed here will help to control the flow of information and a better informed group is a happier and smarter group.  Do us a favor and let us know where negotiations and hearings stand.  Thanks!!

[STEVE DICKEY PBA DETENTION CHAPTER PRESIDENT]

No much is going on to report. The PBA has continued to contact the HCSO rep. to continue talks.
The vote for the Detention Sgt's should take place the end of next month.
The impasse hearings should take place in March.
The Detention Chapters are at impasse over three items, Discipline, PBA business, and wages.
Discipline: The PBA wants a change in the appeals process.
PBA Business: The PBA wants this article to remain the way it is, status quo.
Wages: The PBA wants an increase in the offer from the HCSO, (that offer was 1.0% and 1.03%) for those Deputies with more than 11 years in service. And a step plan for the Detention Sgt's.
The PBA is still sending out info to the residents of Hillsborough County, Via radio, mailers ETC.
The Chapters are still meeting. And are still in constant contact with our Legal team.
Yesterday in TBO.COM a good article was written by Mr. Wells about our Deputy from FRJ who was injured in an altercation. Glad he is doing well.
